What Shipping Terms & Costs Include?
Our CIF/FOB price includes:

Basically, it is the CIF price, including all costs from our factory to your destination port.
All costs at your port, customs clearance in your port, and container handling are on your side.
What You (as Importer) Have to Pay?
We sell our shisha charcoal on EXW, FOB, CNF, and CIF basics (as per Incoterms 2020).
As the factory, we cannot do DDP or Customs clearance in your country. But we take care of all export documents and duties on our side in Indonesia.
Import duties in your country and local delivery should be arranged by your customs broker – it will be cheaper and easier for you.
Before ordering, you need to find a customs broker in your country who will arrange all import documentation, import tax, destination port handling, and delivery to your warehouse.
For most countries, shisha charcoal is legal and easy to import without any specific licenses.
Your broker will handle the local import duties for shisha charcoal and any destination port fees, which are separate from our charcoal freight cost.

Our factory is located in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia, so the closest port to us is the port of Semarang (Tanjung Emas / IDSRG). We are also able to ship from Surabaya or Jakarta ports.
What Documents Are Provided by Our Factory for Export?
Our charcoal factory is fully certified and has all documents for exporting shisha charcoal from Indonesia all over the world.
We are registered and approved and can do direct booking with MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, Vasi, Feeder Line, OOCL, PIL, Asyad Shipping, SITC, OOCL, and Emirates Shipping.
We provide with full set of documents required by your country
Bill of Lading (B/L)
A bill of lading is the main document issued by shipping lines confirming that your container was accepted and carried by the vessel.
BL contains information on Consingee (your company), Notify (usually your customs broker), container number, container seal number, name of goods (shisha charcoal HS code 440290), vessel name, and destination.
The ownership of BL shows who is the real owner of the goods in the container.
We do Telex Release for all our shipments.
Without BL you cannot claim your container with charcoal at your port.
Certificate of Origin (COO)
A Certificate of Origin (COO) is an official document issued by a chamber of commerce in Indonesia that certifies a product’s country of origin = Indonesia.
It is verifying where charcoal was manufactured (Indonesia), by what company
It helps customs authorities in our country calculate the correct import duties, tariffs, and taxes based on trade agreements between Indonesia and your country.
Without a COO, you cannot process customs clearance and receive your charcoal.
Packing List & Invoice
The invoice and Packing list are issued by our factory and contain information on the charcoal price (price you buy it), payment terms, and other important information.
The packing list contains detailed information on what type of charcoal, in what packaging, and how many kg of each type are in the container.
Vanning Certificate
Vanning is a document issued by an independent marine surveyor, like Carsurin or Beckjorindo, after a physical inspection of how charcoal was loaded (vanned) into a container.
It confirms the container is packed correctly according to regulations like the IMDG code, the cargo is secure, and all required documentation and photographs are provided.
This certificate is crucial for ensuring the safety and compliance of the shipment.
For the Middle East
For most of the Middle East countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman) we provide with Packing list and an Invoice endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce and ISPF15 pallets (if required).
For The USA
For the USA, we also provide ISF (Importer Security Filing) and LACEY act declaration filing.
As per requirements, we do it at least 24 hours before the shisha charcoal is loaded onto a vessel destined for the US.
For Australia
We provide with Manufacturer Declaration and Packaging Declaration required by Australian Customs & Border Control.
We are also providing all documents for shipping to Russia, Turkey, Germany & UK

How Can We Make Sure Your Charcoal Arrives at You In Good Condition
Cleaning Boxes before stuffing them into the Container
All boxes are being cleaned before entering the container, to make sure our clients receive nice and clean boxes.
While we keep all our boxes covered with protective plastic, the nature of the production is very dusty, so if you store boxes for more than 5 days, it will be covered by a thick layer of dust.
To make sure you receive it clean and nice, we additionally clean before loading cases into the container.
Vacuum-sealed Container size Thermal blanket
We are using a vacuum-sealed thermal blanket that protects charcoal from moisture and temperature changes.
It is specially designed for the container size to protect goods, especially charcoal, from thermal changes and moisture.
Besides it we always add container size moisture absorbers (1.5 kg size) for additional protection against moisture during shipping and delivery.

Pallet Staffing
For the pallets, we are using ISPM15 certified export pallets, size of 1000×1200 mm.
Each pallet is certified, stamped, and allowed for delivery to the USA, EU, and KSA.
We use additional paper edges and plastic wrapping to protect charcoal during delivery.

Each shipment is protected by sea freight insurance from the shipping lines. So in a rare case, if something happened with the container, you can be sure that it is all fully covered by the shipping lines.
Factory Audit
We are fully licensed and approved by Carsurin and Beckjorindo Independent laboratory & surveyor.
The factory audit shows that the factory operates based on standard SOP and is reliable for manufacturing and exporting shisha charcoal.
It is crucial to have FA approved by shipping lines unless you cannot export or deliver charcoal with MSC, Maersk, or CMA CGM.
Marine Cargo Insurance for Charcoal
Shipping insurance is an additional service that we use to protect your charcoal during delivery. Mostly, we are using MSC Extended Protection that covers loss or damage to cargo due to:
Fire, Stranding, grounding, sinking, collision, salvage & general average contributions, heavy weather events, natural events (‘Act of God’), wetting damage (hole in the roof allowing water infiltration), physical damage to the cargo, stevedore mishandling, thefts & pilferage.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I book or arrange shipping from my side, or use my own forwarder?
Yes, if you are sure that your shipping line can accept shisha charcoal for delivery sure you can arrange shipping on your own.
In this case, we can sell you on EXW basics or FOB basics.
I checked on the Internet and found a much cheaper shipping cost. Why is it possible?
Well, very often on the Internet, you can find only *ocean freight*, but to ship shisha charcoal, there are a lot of additional costs from shipping lines, including DG handling and hazardous processing.
Do not forget, in our price we already include the cost of tracking from our factory in Magelang to the port of loading in Semarang, Terminal handling charges, documents, export costs, and other payments.
Can I order LCL (Less container load)?
Unfortunately, it is not allowed to transport shisha charcoal mixed with other goods. Shipping lines allow to use of only a full container. For sure, you can load just several tons to it, but all the transport costs will stay the same and not depend on whether you load a full container or just part of it.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for shipping?
The minimum order for shipping is full container load. Meaning you have to order at least on 20″ft or 40″ft container.
20″ft container can fit up to 20 tons of shisha charcoal
40″ft container can fit up to 27.5 tons of shisha charcoal
All our prices are calculated assuming a minimum order of 25 tons
Can I order a different size/packaging of shisha charcoal in one container?
Yes, you can, as lon as you keep the minimum order.
You can order *multiple sizes/packaging* with a minimum volume of *2 tons per each size/packaging, as long as the total volume is 18+ tons. In some cases, it is possible to order a smaller amount.
Are import duties, taxes, and local port fees in my country included in your price?
No, it is not included. But we include all costs from our side in Indonesia.
Your broker will handle the local import duties for shisha charcoal and any destination port fees, which are separate from our charcoal freight cost.
Can you deliver directly to my warehouse (DDP – Delivered Duty Paid)?
No, we are a factory and cannot arrange the import on your side. The best we can do is make CIF/CNF shipping until your port.
From your port you have to arrange by yourself.
What is the total delivery time from the moment I place my order?
Total delivery time from the time you place an order consists of two parts
: the first is production time, usually 3-4 weeks, and then shipping time.
Which port in Indonesia do you ship from?
We are shipping from the port of Semarang, but also possible from Surabaya or Jakarta.
